“Wag’N” Donates pet masks
Carol Monaco, with Marketwise Insights, Inc., recently nominated Greater Brighton Fire to receive pet oxygen masks through a company called Wag’N. Brighton Fire was selected and Wag’N has donated pet O2 masks through a program called “O2 Fur Life” that provides the necessary equipment for pet rescue breathing. Greater Brighton Fire is one of only 14 fire departments in the State who have received pet O2 masks through this program. Five kits were donated through the program, which provides for one set of three masks for each of our five fire stations. Each kit contains three masks of different sizes for various size pets. The kits have been placed on the fire engines and crews have been trained in using the masks. Thank you to Carol and Wag’N for the generous donation.

Meet Bella Luna from Animal Rescue of the Rockies!
Bella Luna is a 1 year old Dobie mix who is in Colorado for a couple more days and then will be in New Mexico (transporting her can be arranged). Her owners came in to a shelter with her crying, unable to afford vet care. They didn't leave her that week - but one week later, the shelter found her in their drop box one morning and knew who she was. They did x-rays and a neuro exam and she's got a "brachial plexus avulsion" - a terrible nerve injury likely due to blunt trauma (probably by an automobile). Basically she can't feel anything below her elbow. After a couple of weeks in foster care, there's no improvement, and her only hope may be amputation. Three legged dogs adjust well and lead happy, active lives. There are people who have fallen in love with her and would contribute to her surgery. But Bella Luna needs a permanent home. She's great with kids, other dogs and cats... she has a lot of energy and love to give. Please contact Cindi Harris-Krane at 970-445-8414 or at cindihk@yahoo.com if you would like to give Bella Luna a loving home!
